Drum Workshop is a California based drum and hardware manufacturing company. It was started as a teaching studio by Don Lombardi and evolved to include small drum equipment sales to cover studio operation costs. Soon the DW operation came up with some innovative equipment designs, including the first double bass drum pedal.
The first big endorser of DW products was Tommy Lee of Motley Crue. Nowadays, DW has grown to oversee two new companies: the value-oriented Pacific Drums and Percussion and Gon Bops. DW custom drums are less expensive compared to other custom drums.
