Paiste Percussion Cymbals
The first Paiste cymbals were made to order in 1906 by Estonian musician Toomas Paiste in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The family continued cymbal production despite several moves.
First they moved the operation to Poland and then in 1945 to Germany. Finally in 1957, the family established new headquarters in Switzerland. Paiste made many innovations to cymbal design and manufacturer.
When the patents expired, other company picked up and incorporated the ideas, including a flattened bell design, unlathed cymbals, and colored cymbals. Check out eBay for vintage and new Paiste cymbals and save.
