Paiste Percussion Tambourines
The first Paiste tambourines were made by Estonian musician Toomas Paiste in Saint Petersburg, Russia in 1906. The family continued cymbal and tambourine production despite several moves. First they moved the operation to Poland, and then in 1945 they moved to Germany.
Finally in 1957, the family established its headquarters in Switzerland. Paiste made many innovations to cymbal & tambourine design and manufacturer. Many performers appreciated the interesting sounds of percussion instruments other than drums, including Beatles members Ringo Starr and George Harrison.
However, there is no need to think professionally to enjoy the sound and feel of playing a tambourine. For just a bit of money, you can own one or several different styles of tambourine. Save on whatever you decide by shopping on eBay.
