Sabian is a Canadian designer and manufacturer of cymbals. This company was formed from a split with Zildjian Company, founded by Robert Zildjian. The new company, Sabian, continues to be rivals with Zildjian in cymbal sales.
Sabian and Zildjian cymbals have slightly different sounds. Some users say Sabian cymbals have a longer sustain. Currently, Sabian has ten different series of cymbals.
