Drums may be one of the oldest musical instruments known to man. The primitive appearance of tribal bongo drums reminds the player of the long and rich history of drums and their importance to music. Tribal bongo drums have enjoyed acceptance among music lovers for generations for a number of reasons.
Tribal bongo drums are more portable than other drum set ups yet they still offer a wide enough range of tones and sound to allow for plenty of musical variation and experimentation. Being able to deliver a full range of sounds with one instrument is a lot cheaper that playing with many instruments. Aesthetically tribal bongo drums look like a piece of wooden sculpture where more modern drums tend to look like a piece of stage equipment.
